Starting today, mobile phone users in China can purchase the Oppo N1 handset from the local smartphone maker Oppo.

The handset, made official back in September, features a price tag of 3498 Yuan ($574 / €430), and can be found on the company’s own online store.

However, users should know that there are only 10,000 Oppo N1 units available for purchase, on a first-come-first-served basis, as TNW reports.

Oppo N1 was launched with a large 5.9-inch full HD touchscreen display, and with a 1.7 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 processor packed inside.

One of the main selling points of the new device, however, is its 13-megapixel camera. Placed on an adjustable hinge, the module can be rotated 206 degrees, which enables users to enjoy more photo shooting features than before.

The camera also comes with a six-piece lens design, the first on an Android-based device, as well as with a type 1/3.06 imaging module, f/2.0 wide aperture, and a light-diffusing LED flash design.

Oppo N1 also sports 2GB of RAM, along with 16GB / 32GB of internal memory, and Adreno 320 graphics.

The specifications list of the mobile phone also includes Wi-Fi 802.11 connectivity with Wi-Fi Direct and Wi-Fi Display, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, and GPS receiver.

The smartphone measures 170.7 x 82.6 x 9 mm and weighs 213 grams. Oppo packed the phone with a 3610mAh battery, which should ensure long usage times.

At the moment, the Oppo N1 is available for purchase only in a White color flavor, though it might be released in other versions as well in the not too distant future.

Oppo’s device is powered by the Color OS operating system, which was built based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean.

Furthermore, the company partnered with CyanogenMod to design a CyanogenMod Edition of the device. The Color OS-based variant will also allow users to easily install CM ROMs on it, directly from stock recovery.
