This is a minimalistic tablet that will respond to users’ basic needs

Taiwanese manufacturer Oplus has partnered up with popular Indian online retailer Snapdeal to release on the market, a 7-inch tablet the XonPad7.

The XonPad7 will be available exclusively from the online e-commerce website and will run the Android 4.2 operating system, reports The Times of India.

Apart from that, the tablet will features a common 1280 x 800 pixel resolution and will draw power from a 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek processor combined with 1GB of RAM and backed up by 16GB of internal storage (expandable to 32GB via microSD).

The Oplus XonPad 7 has two cameras (5MP on the back and 2MP in front), Wi-Fi, 3G/2G calling, Bluetooth 21 and microUSB.

The 3,500 mAh battery is said to be able to provide up to one day of usage, which seems a little bit too hopeful. Oplus will sell the tablet in India for Rs 9,990 / $161 / €118.
