No telling exactly what

Opera Software is no stranger to secretive pseudo-announcements regarding its upcoming products. The company managed to stir up quite a wave of interest with its marketing tactics around Opera Unite, earlier this year, announcing at the time that it was going to revolutionize the web.

Well, Opera Software is at it again, pulling a similar trick, but this time around with a completely different focus. The fact that the company’s upcoming announcement is intimately connected with mobile devices is the only detail that is clear for now.

On the Opera Next webpage, the company is promising that the next generation in mobile browsing is coming very soon. There’s no telling at this point in time what exactly has Opera been cooking, and when exactly will it release it to end users. There are little additional details, except this mention in the source code of the page, “The Web is your browser. Discover how fast and fun the Web can be," along with promises that the Opera browser about to be offered is faster and more secure.

In addition to the Opera browser for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, the Norway-based company is also offering Opera for mobile devices. With Opera Mini and Opera Mobile, users of mobile phones are able to enjoy a high-quality browsing experience via their devices. Speculation indicates that Opera Software is gearing up for the release of a new iteration of Opera Mini, namely version 5.

The company has yet to confirm any rumors, or to offer additional details explaining just what end users are in for. At the start of this month, Opera made a big step forward with the release of version 10.0. At the same time, the browser maker is pushing forward with its desktop releases, offering Beta development milestones of Opera 10.10 with Opera Unite.
