One of the most popular mobile browsers available on the market, the Opera Mini is making the rounds at various carriers around the globe. The latest country to benefit from the advantages of the application is Azerbaijan.

Major carrier Bakcell and Opera Software have just announced their new partnership that will bring a special version of the Opera Mini browser to the carrier’s subscribers.

The companies claim that Opera Mini users who are also Bakcell subscribers will be able to save big on their bills, as they will now surf the Web with no limits for just 0.19 Azerbaijani manat per day (0.24 USD or 0.18 EUR) or 1.99 Azerbaijani manat per month (0.65 USD or 0.50 EUR) when using the mobile browser.

Those unfamiliar with Opera Mini should know that the application provides one of the best Internet experiences on nearly any mobile device, including smartphones, feature-phones or tablets.

Opera is a long-term believer in the Web as a universal right for people, no matter where they are, what device they use and what their budget is. These are the key points we have kept in mind when developing Opera Mini,” said Lars Boilesen, CEO of Opera Software.

Opera Mini is based on the innovative compression technology that allows it to compress data traffic by up to 90%, thus delivering webpages to a user phone or tablet much faster.

In addition, this compression technology greatly helps carriers to optimize their mobile network, especially when they are experiencing important mobile Internet user data base growth.

We are excited to offer a superior user experience to our subscribers. With Opera Mini, our users can worry less about their bills for mobile Internet. They can open webpages, check emails and chat with friends on social networks anytime and anywhere,” said Mr. Richard Shearer, CEO of Bakcell.
