A new flavor of Opera Mobile is now available for download for the owners of handsets based on Symbian, following the release of Opera Mobile 11.1 only a few weeks ago. The new release of the application is only a minor software update, and was pushed out from Opera's labs as Opera Mobile 11.1 silent update 1.

The new release comes with a series of fixes included into the mix, aimed at resolving various issues that the browser was delivered with.

The development team behind the browser notes that the new crash report system they put in place for the mobile browser offered them the possibility to discover a few sources of random crashes.

These have been resolved in the new release:

- Added fullscreen native keyboard when writing Arabic or Hebrew on Symbian^3 devices - Added Opera Mobile Store icon to Speed Dial - Fixed CSS3 gradient support - General bug fixes and stability improvements.

Users who will download and install the new application flavor will be able to provide feedback on the issues they find through the 'Report a problem' tool in Help.

The development team encourages them to do so, as they are planning more enhancements for the Opera Mobile browser. Users can also join the Opera Mobile for Symbian forum for discussions.

The new Opera Mobile 11.1 silent update 1 for Symbian devices is available for download via the Nokia Ovi Store, as well as from m.opera.com. Users will find the Opera Mobile 11.1 browser available on Softpedia as well, via this link.

Opera Mobile arrived on handsets with the Opera Presto rendering engine at its core, and was packed with better standards support and improved performance capabilities in the latest major release, namely Opera Mobile 11.1.

The browser is now compatible with the Symbian Anna operating system, and sports enhanced support for rendering of complex scripts, for half-screen keyboards, and better native font support, as well as improved support for Nokia's latest sliding devices, the Nokia E7 and the Nokia N97.
