Today, Opera Software and Cherry Mobile have announced the availability of new Internet browsing capabilities for users in the Philippines with the launch of two new smartphones at the wireless carrier, namely Flare and Titan.

Both devices will arrive on shelves with appealing social networking capabilities, while also featuring the Opera Mini browser pre-loaded on them right from the start.

Flare (Cherry Mobile S100) and Titan (Cherry Mobile W500) are two slim and sleek smartphones, being capable of providing users with faster, better and cheaper Internet browsing through the pre-installed Opera Mini 7.5 application.

Packed with features such as the Smart Page, the browser offers users the option to easily check their Facebook and Twitter pages, while also delivering instant access to world news, in addition to social-networking updates.

Opera Mini on Flare and Titan is expected to deliver a great experience to all users, regardless whether they are chatting with their friends online, or simply browsing the Internet while on the go.

The Flare sports a 1.2GHz Dual-Core Snapdragon processor, while the Titan has been launched with a larger screen and a 1GHz Dual-Core CPU. Both of them run under Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system.

“The launch of Flare and Titan reflect our commitment to bring value to our users’ lifestyle with advanced technology. Backed with Opera’s unique data compression technology, we believe that both Flare and Titan will meet the needs of Android users in the Philippines,” says Lonson Alejandrino, sales manager for Android phone, Cherry Mobile.

“We have featured Opera Mini on our smartphone devices, which users can tailor with their choice of favorite websites. They will be able to surf the internet just by tapping their fingers, with no limitations.”

According to Lars Boilesen, CEO, Opera Software, the two smartphones will be able to provide users with a seamless, social-networking experience courtesy of their smart features and fast web navigation.

“With Opera installed on Cherry Mobile two newest Android smartphones, we can turn an affordable phone into a very capable internet-browsing device, as well as providing an improved internet experience to users in the Philippines, especially to those who love being social online,” he added.
