14 DAY TRIAL // The eXperience is one of Norway's largest gaming events and this year it will host some 10,000 visitors; 2000 of them are going to be shooting each other's heads off online, in Counter Strike and Quake, for a prize of 80,000 NOK (?7,000 /10,000 Euros). According to... the Internet, The eXperience has chosen TeliaSonera and NextGenTel to provide the connectivity for the event.
"With 2,000 gamers expected to participate, a solid internet connection that is not going to time out at the crucial moment is essential to the success of this event. The organisers of The eXperience, The Hardware Network, have decided to use TeliaSonera, one of European leading Telecoms Carriers and NextGenTel to handle the connectivity.", says the report.
TeliaSonera International Carrier is actually establishing itself as a leading European Telecoms carrier, already featuring a rapidly growing profile within the video games industry. Naturally, the company will be listed as an official sponsor of the event.
Anna Mossberg, Vice President Product Management and Marketing, TeliaSonera International Carrier, commented on TeliaSonera's involvement in the eXperience: "The acid test for the stability and speed of any telecoms network is how it feels for the end user. The eXperience takes place between October 4th-7th in Oslo, Norway. Participants will be battling it out online for no more, no less than 10,000 Euros.
