If wires are not your thing, but you definitely need a new pair of speakers, Onkyo has an interesting solution for you in the form of the GX-W100HV bookshelf speakers with DLNA compatibility.

The master speaker incorporates 802.11 b/g/n WiFi connectivity and will utilize WiFi Protected Setup (WPS) to connect to your router.

Once the two are paired, any other devices that are linked to your home network and are DLNA compatible (smartphones, tablets or laptops) will be able to stream music to Onkyo’s speakers.

If you prefer a more traditional approach, the GX-W100HV also include optical and analog inputs.

As far as specs are concerned, Onkyo’s creations are capable of outputting 15 watts per channel, feature a 12cm A-OMF woofer and a 3cm tweeter and respond to frequencies in the 50Hz-100kHz range.

According to UberGizmo, the GX-W100HV speakers are expected to go on sale in Japan starting February 18, for 40,000 Yen (about $520).
