14 DAY TRIAL // A new flavor of Microsoft’s OneNote application is now available for download for the owners of Android-based smartphones, namely version 15.0.2020.2302.
The new app release brings along a series of enhancements to devices running under Android 4.0 and newer, with the most important of them being the added support for English (QWERTY) Hardware Keyboards (external keyboards).
This is one of the features that many Android users have requested for the application, and it is now available for them, a recent blog post from the OneNote Team reads.
“Listening to feedback is an integral part of the OneNote team and it is our responsibility to always listen to what you all are saying. In the past few weeks, we have received feedback for OneNote on Android that external keyboards are not working on certain devices and that it is making note-taking painful.”
“Today, we have released an update which enables usage of English (QWERTY) external keyboards with OneNote for Android,” said post continues.
The new application iteration, however, builds on the enhancements that were included in the previous releases, the most recent of which included improvements brought to performance and stability, as well as support for devices powered by NVIDIA Tegra 2.
For those out of the loop, we should note that OneNote for Android was designed to provide users with the possibility to easily take notes while on the go and to access existing notes at all times.
