Currently, a 3D printer is considered affordable if it costs around five hundred bucks, but there are some that go even below that mark. Most have palpable trade-offs in quality and material support, but some manage to avoid the worst of it.

The most recent example of an affordable but still decent 3D printer is the FabX from 3D-ing, a company based in India.

Featuring a price of just around RS. 19,999, which is around the same as $325 / €285, the 3D printer got away with such a price because of its size.

While it takes up 300 x 300 x 300 mm / 11.81 x 11.81 x 11.81 inches, it can create objects as large as 100 x 100 x 100 mm / 3.93 x 3.93 x 3.93 inches.

The printer can go at 50-100 mm/s speed-wise and can create objects not just from PLA plastic but also T Glass, wood filaments, and flexible filaments. The filament just needs to be 1.75 mm thick.

FabX has a power consumption of 70W, in case you were wondering, and connects to a PC via USB.

All in all, it is definitely a product that will appeal to the needs and budget of customers from both India and other countries. It's a good thing that STL and Gcode files can be found so easily online.
