A new YouTube rival makes its way in the Internet market as two Republican White House members introduced QubeTV, a powerful alternative for the Google service. QubeTV, is regarded as a conservative video service that will bring the politics and the culture closer to the Internet users. Charlie Gerow and Jeff Lord designed the product to represent a reply to the anti-conservative feel expressed by YouTube and allow users to post any type of political clips. "We saw a need for a social-networking site for the center-right. They want something that isn't controlled by our good friends at Google," Charlie Gerow sustained according to The Washington Times.

The description of the service encourages users to upload conservative clips on the page and discuss about their own city's candidate. The politics domain is more and more important as the upcoming 2008 election campaign already started and represents an important part of Google's YouTube.

"If you live in New Hampshire or Iowa and you have a presidential candidate pulling into town - consider yourself a reporter for QubeTV. Tell us something we don't know - better yet show us! If there's a controversy on your college campus or in your community - show us all! And of course, as you navigate through the films, books, TV shows, commentators, and more that fill up our daily lives - give us your take on that too," the developers sustained.

However, this is a new YouTube rival that completes the list of the recently released services meant to dethrone the famous Google product. Among other well-known solutions such as Sony's eyeVio, GodTube and the upcoming service prepared by News Corp, QubeTV aims to attract an important number of YouTube users and dethrone the Google product.
