After the much awaited buzz and fuzz launch of the Dell XPS M1330 mobile computer systems, it looks like the manufacturing company is already thinking to replace its top of the line offering with a more powerful machine that will be available under the commercial name of XPS M1530.

The new laptop will come equipped with a 15.4 widescreen display that will be available in two distinct configurations according to the news site engadget, one that will use the traditional CCFL backlight technology and one based on the LED approach. The CCFL based display will support a native resolution of 1680 by 1050 pixels, while the other variant will go for the lesser 1440 by 900 pixels.

The new Dell mobile computing system will come powered by an Intel central processing unit from the Core 2 Duo family and users will have the opportunity to select from the entry line T5250 processor that runs at 1.5GHz and go all the way to the top with the 2.6GHz clocked T7800. Its mainboard will come built around the Intel 965 chipset and it should easily offer support for up to 4GB of DDR2 random access memory operating at a clock speed of 667MHz.

On the graphics side of things, the 15.4 LCD display is backed up by the presence of a discrete graphics solution powered by either a Nvidia 8400M or a 8600M GS graphics processing unit which will come with as much as 256MB of dedicated video memory. A slot loaded Blu-ray compatible DVD burning unit is also provided and it should reach writing speeds of up to 8X.

While not coming as standard items on the Dell XPS M1530, a wireless networking interface compatible with the 802.11a/b/g/n standards and a Bluetooth adapter are also available for purchase. A 2 megapixel Web camera with a big resolution is available with the CCFL based LCD screen, while users opting for the LED backlight display will have to make do with a 300k camera instead. Three high speed USB 2.0 ports are also provided as well as a 1394 connector, an ExpressCard slot, a fingerprint reader and a multi functional media card reader that is compatible with most popular and widely used formats.

The Dell XPS M1530 laptop is due to hit the market on the 7th of November, but since it is a Dell we are talking about, things may run a little late. Until now there has been no word about the pricing scheme of these new laptops that are aimed at replacing the Dell XPS M1330 line of products.
