Don't you want to know what they think about your work?

A Guestbook is a form that enables visitors to add comments on a web page. The best way to make users post their comments is to let them sign the guestbook without forcing them to create an account. And if the guestbook script is freeware, you must include a guestbook into your website.

Jax Guestbook comes along with typical features that any online guestbook generally has. Additionally, it brings you some special features. Particularly worth mentioning is the very flexible support for multiple data sources. This makes it possible to use the guestbook system both with a simple text file and a mySQL database system.

Another feature worth mentioning is the possibility to hide the e-mail-addresses of your visitors behind a Formmailer. A formmailer is a program that sends e-mails directly via a form on the website. In this way, a user can send an e-mail to another user without knowing the recipients address. This technique is used to avoid spam crawlers getting the e-mail address of your visitors from your guestbook.

Jax Guestbook supports multiple data sources: MYSQL and CSV text files. So if your host doesn't support mysql databases, you may use CSV system. Also, with the same script, you can host multiple guestbooks. If your guestbook is not for English readers, you can choose between multiple templates for different languages: German, Danish, Dutch, English, Islandish, Japanese, Brazilian (Portuguese), Russian, Swedish and Turkish.

To prevent multiposting, Jax Guestbook permits logging of IP address and provides filters against bad HTML-code, too long text, and insulting words. Optional Jax offers permission mode for guestbook entries so the webmaster can restrict certain users' right to post. Optionally, the script also provides ciphering of e-mail-addresses for protection against SPAM-crawlers.

To install Jax Guestbook, your web server should have installed PHP 4 or above and MySQL (only if don't want to use CSV text files).
