Olympus has a new Micro Four Thirds camera called the PEN E-PL7 in the pipeline and the device is expected to arrive soon enough.

But before that happens, the preliminary specs of the Olympus PEN E-PL7 have been leaked online, showing us that the camera will borrow some of its feats from the entry-level Olympus OM-D E-M10, a product that was rolled out earlier this year.

As TheNewCamera notes, the PEN E-PL7 will come with a 16.05MP Micro Four Thirds CMOS image sensor, with a sensitivity range between ISO 200 and ISO 256000. The maximum amount will allow users to shoot photos in low-light environments without much problem.

The mirrorrless interchangeable lens device will come equipped with an autofocus system with 81 focus points. At the moment, the image processor type is unknown, but the new E-PL7 will be able to shoot up to 8fps in continuous shooting mode.

The shutter speeds have a minimum of 60 seconds and a maximum of 1/4000th of a second, so action photographers will be able to use the camera too.

The Olympus E-PL7 will come with a stereo microphone, while a flash sync speed of 1/250 seconds will allow photographers to attach external flash guns to the camera.

Although inspired by the E-PL6, the Olympus PEN E-PL7 will sport more buttons on its back and will come with a 3-inch 1,040K-dot articulated LCD touchscreen.

The camera will also have built-in Wi-Fi and will be compatible with Eye-Fi, SD/SDHC/SDXC and UHS-I cards.
