Home entertainment has become an important segment for the IT industry, with an increasing number of home users taking interest in new ways to enjoy their favorite music, movies or other multimedia content. On that note, Olive, a company that focuses on providing consumers with a choice for a high-quality digital music experience at home, has just announced the launch of a new generation of its Opus Hi-Fi Digital Stereo solutions, including a new version of its flagship Opus No.4, featuring 2TB of storage space. The new solution has been specifically designed for home users looking for a better way to enjoy music and movies at home.

“Olive is redefining the digital music experience for the home, much as the iPod did for portable music,” said Dr. Oliver Bergmann, CEO and co-founder of Olive. “The Opus No. 4 makes it easy to enjoy the music you've collected over the years with the same vivid sound clarity as your CDs, but without the hassle and clutter.”

According to the company, its latest Opus No. 4 has been designed to enable users to experience their favorite music in the comfort of their home at a true Hi-Fi sound quality. The device is capable of storing thousands of CDs worth of music in its original quality, while also enabling support for connection with traditional stereo systems. The updated Opus No. 4 also comes with 2TB of storage space and allows users to browse through the device's features via the intuitive touchscreen menu.

No word on availability just yet, but you can expect to pay quite something for this high-end multimedia device. According to the company, the top-of-the-line Opus No. 4 model comes with a price tag of US$1799, which will allow users to store almost 6,000 CDs worth of music on-board the internal storage solution.
