A source is claiming that the Australian student killed in an apparent random shooting in Oklahoma was the victim of a gang initiation rite.

According to the Daily Caller, James Johnson, the man initially reporting the three teenagers taking the life of Christopher Lane, has dubbed the killing as gang-related.

As I mentioned before, the mother of 16-year-old shooter Chancey Luna mentioned her son and his friends acting like “wannabe gang members.”

Johnson claims that the killers were part of a gang out of Lawton, the Crips. He adds that they approached his 17-year-old son Chris and suggested he also joined.

The evening of the killing, they allegedly threatened Chris with guns near the family home.

“I don’t think it was an initiation – I know it was an initiation, my son told me it was an initiation,” Johnson says, as relayed by the Inquisitr.
