Yesterday, the Mountain View company rolled out a new unexpected update for the downloadable mapping tool Google Earth but it avoided presenting the updated locations in order to involve the fans of the application into some kind of contest. That's why the company's officials published a blog post yesterday, giving 13 clues which could let the users know which the updated regions are. Today, Matt Manolides, GIS Specialist, published the full release notes and trust me, the new high-resolution photos are really stunning as they show numerous details viewable from satellite.

First of all, Google introduced fresh new high resolution imagery in Americas including State of Oregon, State of Nebraska, State of North Carolina, Western Mississippi, Yakima County and several other areas mentioned by the Google official mentioned above. Also, Europe, Middle East and Africa received new photos as it follows: France - French Riviera and Avignon, UK - Leicester, Chesterfield, Norwich and many others and Germany - Munster, Hamburg, Luebeck and others. Moreover, Google implemented "2.5m imagery for the entire countries of: Tunisia, UAE, Jordan, Syria, Lebanon, and Israel."

In addition to all the new photos included in Google Earth, the super giant updated the existent photos in Americas - Las Vegas, San Francisco, Pittsburgh, Guadalajara, Salt Lake City and several others, Europe Middle East and Africa - UK (Cambridge, Norfolk, Derby, Halifax, Leeds, Darlington, Dundee, Belfast), Poland, Sweden or Turkey as well as Asia and Oceania - Novosibirsk (Russia), Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Ahmendabad (India) and lots of other regions.

As the Google representative sustains, the updated terrain can be found in Canada (20m and 90m) as well as at Niagara Falls.

If you'd like to admire any of the locations mentioned above, you have to download the latest version of Google's mapping tool which is also listed on Softpedia and available on this link.
