After maintaining some distance from the tablet ecosystem, LG finally launched the G Pad 8.3 in September. The product managed to become quite popular with consumers, because of its portable frame and decent price tag.

LG also launched a G Pad 8.3 Google Play Edition in December, which came complete with Android 4.4 out of the box, which certainly proved to be a plus for a lot of customers.

Anyway, one of the complaints customers had regarding the slate was the lack of LTE. Well, that has been fixed now, as Verizon officially announced the LG tablet with LTE would become available for purchase under its banner, starting March 6.

The LTE model comes with the same 8-inch screen boasting a full HD resolution (1920 x 1200 pixels), and it draws power from a 1.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor combined with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of built-in storage.

The slate has dual cameras (5MP on the back and 1.3MP in front) and comes pre-installed with a variety of software, like Slide Aside, which lets users switch between up to three apps by sliding three fingers across the screen.

The LG G Pad 8.3 LTE will go on sale starting March 6 (tomorrow) for the $299.99 / €219 outright. Until March 10, Verizon will offer the slate for $99.99 / €73 with a two-year contract. After the date expires, pricing goes up to $199.99 / €145 with a two-year plan.
