Performance Designed Products has announced that it will producing a series of officially licensed accessories for Kinect that will be available for purchase in November when the motion sensor launches in Europe and North America.

PDP will offer three mounting solutions, as well as a cable that should help future Kinect owners in placing the peripheral in their living rooms.

“At PDP we are proud to offer the best quality peripherals and gaming accessories and we’re excited to bring that same quality to Kinect for Xbox 360,” said Tom Roberts, chief technical officer at the California-based gaming manufacturer.

“We’re working exclusively with Microsoft to bring consumers officially licensed stands and mounts to add to their controller-free entertainment experience.”

Each of the four accessories has been tested and approved by Microsoft, according to PDP.

The wall mount for Kinect will go for 15 dollars. The TV mount will be more expensive, being priced at 40 dollars. It will use the VESA standard to be compatible most TVs that range from 26 inches to 60 inches.

A tripod based floor stand will also be distributed and will retail at 30 dollars. It comes with the secure locking mechanism designed to keep Kinect safe, a good thing considering all the movement that will go on around it.

An over-priced extension cable for Kinect was also announced by PDP. It is 2.75 meters long, that is nine feet and retails at a, frankly excessive, 50 dollars.

Microsoft's Kinect motion control sensor will be launched on the 4th of November in North America and on the 10th of November in Europe. The device is priced at no less than 150 dollars.

It will be accompanied by a slew of titles that are meant to show off its capabilities. Dance Central, Kinectimals and Kinect Adventures are just a few of the games that Microsoft has shown to convince customers that they can have a lot of fun with its latest product.
