A few days ago, visitors to the Dallas Zoo had the chance to stare into the eyes of a fierce ocelot kitten. Word has it that the baby ocelot looked so ferocious that some fainted.

Other are rumored to have run for the exit the moment they caught a glimpse of this vicious predator.

According to Zoo Borns, the ocelot kitten, pictured above, was born at this animal sanctuary precisely two months ago, on June 26. The kitten is a female, and its keepers have named it Lindy.

The same source tells us that, at birth, Lindy weighed about half a pound (0.22 kilograms).

Over the past weeks, it had quadrupled in size. Thus, it now tips the scale at about 2 pounds (0.9 kilograms).

For the time being, the ocelot kitten's mother, Milagre, is still highly protective of its little bundle of joy.

Keepers say that the two never stray far from one another, and that it will take some time before Lindy gives independence a try.
