It took a while, but the desktop enclosure is finally out

It was just under two weeks ago that we learned of the desktop case that Corsair was supposedly getting ready to release and, sure enough, the latest addition to the Obsidian series is now out.

The Obsidian line really only lacked a micro-ATX model, which the Obsidian 350D is. The others are in mid-tower form factor (650D and 550D) or Full-Tower shape (800D and 900D).

Speaking of which, if the Obsidian 900D is the top-end member of the collection, that makes Obsidian 350D the low-end.

Then again, we can't really say a case is a low-end product when the whole series is aimed at gamers.

But we digress. The Obsidian Series 350D High Performance Micro ATX PC case has two 3.5-inch drive bays and two 5.25-inch ODD bays.

Tool-free access is implemented for said drive bays, while a sable routing system ensures the interior is well aired.

For connectivity, there is a front I/O panel with two USB 3.0 connectors and the obligatory audio jacks (headphone output and microphone).

Then there is the cooling: Corsair put in five fan mounts, two on the front (120 mm or 140 mm diameter), two at the top (as above) and one at the back (120 mm only).

"The Obsidian 350D's versatile expansion options give builders the ability to pack a lot of performance into a smaller form factor," said Thi La, senior VP & GM of memory and enthusiast component products at Corsair.

"Its stylish, compact design makes it a perfect high-performance PC case for smaller living spaces or for gaming LAN parties."

In addition to micro-ATX motherboards, the Obsidian Series 350D can hold mini-ITX, though buyers should heed the fact that mini-ITX aren't much good for games, or any upper-level PC configurations.

The price of the newcomer is $109.99 / €84.38 – 109.99 for the one with a side window, and $99.99 / €76.71 – 99.99 for the no-window version.
