For real, we hope

Put this one in the category of games that we've never thought we'd see on some consoles... We were surprised to hear that Gears of War had received a PC port and we were surprised to hear that we'll probably see Far Cry on the Wii. However, this here piece of info announcing a PSP Oblivion manages to surpass them all. It's mostly because no one has high expectations from a portable console, with a decent graphical quality and a pretty good control scheme.

Oblivion first appeared as a rumor, in its PS3 version, but at the same time it was also announced as a PSP release. While the next-gen console produced by Sony finally got the game working, there's no trace of a portable version. In case you're wondering, we won't be dealing with a port of the game, but rather with a dungeon crawler with the action based in the same universe. After the mega-hype surrounding this title was gone, there was no trace of it, till now.

If you look this up on Amazon.com, you'll see release date scheduled for June 30, although we've heard nothing official regarding this title. Are we going to find out the release date for Duke Nukem Forever with the aid of Amazon, as well? Since we're getting ready for a neat dungeon crawler and all, I'm curios if we'll ever see a DS version, specially in case it all works out fine with the PSP por...(oops) title. If you can turn your characters around by using the PSP analog control system, why not venture in the land of the DS stylus and touchscreen?

Will Oblivion's graphics still manage to impress on the handheld device? Maybe it will follow the classic line of "don't worry about graphics, it's the storyline that matters", but it will be hard for it to appeal to the eye-candy addict public with such features.
