The latest version of ZeniMax's blockbuster role-playing game, published by Bethesda Softworks, The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion for the PS3, has begun shipping to retail stores throughout North America and will be in stores tomorrow, Tuesday, March 20. The game was originally released in March 2006 for both PC and Xbox 360 and has already earned countless awards from publications around the world. It has also won numerous Game of the Year and RPG of the Year awards, Gamerankings and MetaCritic listing Oblivion as the highest rated game of all time on Xbox 360.

Oblivion is all about free-form gameplay. Combine that with stunning graphics, provided by the PS3's tremendous power, cutting edge AI, character voices by acting legends Patrick Stewart, Sean Bean, Terrance Stamp, and Lynda Carter, and an award-winning soundtrack and you'll get what probably is the best fantasy-themed, action oriented adventure game ever developed. It certainly is the case with the PS3, as it doesn't have that many titles of this kind. Come to think of it, it doesn't have any.

Gamers will be able to choose to unravel Oblivion's epic narrative at their own pace or explore the vast world in search of their own unique challenges. As the game progresses, players have full control over what happens and how the story unfolds. The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is rated "M" for Mature by the ESRB, so you're definitely in for something that isn't exactly a child's play. Visit the official site if I wasn't convincing enough.
