Today, Chinese mobile phone OPPO has officially announced the availability of its OPPO N1 mini smartphone in India, with a price tag of Rs. 26,990 ($441/€329) attached to it.

The new handset arrives on shelves as the smaller version of the OPPO N1 flagship device, though it still keeps some of the high-end features of the predecessor.

Thus, users in India will enjoy on this phone a 5-inch IPS JDI touchscreen display capable of delivering an HD (1280 x 720 pixels) resolution.

The mobile phone is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor paired with Adreno 305 GPU and 2GB of RAM, which will ensure that users will receive high-performance levels at all times.

The same as its predecessor, the OPPO N1 mini arrives on shelves with a 13-megapixel rotating camera, which sports a 1/3.2″ Sony IMX214 stacked sensor, 6-element lens, and f/2.0 aperture.

Moreover, the mobile phone’s camera features LED flash, and is capable of recording videos in full HD resolution, as well as photos at 24-megapixel resolution.

The new handset also features 16GB of internal memory, as well as support for 3G networks. At the same time, the phone will provide users with the usual set of Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capabilities, as well as with a built-in GPS receiver.

The specs list of OPPO N1 also includes a 2140mAh battery, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a 9.2mm thick body. The smartphone runs under the Color OS 1.4 ROM, which is based on the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean operating system.

The new smartphone will arrive on shelves in India in three color flavors, namely Light Blue, White, and Lemon Yellow, a recent article on fonearena notes.

However, it seems that only the Blue and White variants will be available in India initially, starting this week. Those interested in grabbing the Yellow flavor will have to wait until the next month to be able to purchase it.

OPPO N1 mini is also accompanied by the O-Click remote control unit, yet those willing to get this accessory will have to pay Rs. 1,890 ($31/€23) for it, as it is being sold separately.

“Customer orientation is deeply rooted in the culture at OPPO. We strive to give users what they really look for. OPPO N1 Mini stems from this philosophy of ours,” Tom Lu, CEO, OPPO India, said.

“It brings to users the unique design and technology for which the OPPO N1 won a lot of accolades, but in a sleeker and more compact body. For OPPO, a fusion of technology and affection has always been the essence of our product design and development. We believe that today’s youth will find OPPO N1 Mini as a device that is mini in size and max in fun.”
