Chinese mobile phone maker OPPO has officially confirmed plans to make its OPPO N1 smartphone available for purchase in various countries starting with December 10.

In a recent post on Twitter, the company also unveiled the price tag for the device, which will be of $599 in the United States and €449 in Europe.

“The OPPO N1 will be available for purchase starting from December 10, 2013,” the aforementioned tweet from OPPO reads.

The mobile phone is one of the most anticipated smartphones at the moment, not only due to the hardware specs it arrives on shelves with, but also due to its native support for CyanogenMod software.

For those out of the loop, we should note that OPPO partnered with CyanogenMod for the launch of this handset, packing it with support for the installation of custom CM ROMs right from the start.

In fact, the company will also launch a CyanogenMod flavor of the smartphone soon, with the popular custom software loaded on top from the get-go.

The usual version will be running under OPPO’s Color OS, which is based on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, but it will allow users to easily install CM on it, due to some bootloader and recovery tweaks.

The OPPO N1 features a 5.9-inch touchscreen display capable of delivering a full HD resolution and is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Snapdragon 600 processor. The mobile phone also sports 2GB of RAM inside, along with 16GB/32GB of internal memory.

OPPO also packed the smartphone with a 13-megapixel rotating camera, which features dual-LED flash, HDR, geo-tagging, face detection, and full HD video recording, and which can be rotated over 200 degrees (it can be used both as front and back camera).

The specs list of this device also includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS support, Adreno 320 graphics, the usual set of sensors, and a 3610mAh Li-Ion battery.

As SlashGear notes, users interested in the purchase of OPPO N1 will find it available in multiple countries via OPPO's own website, as well as through retailers such as Amazon.
