Back in March, OCZ announced that it had stopped making systems, peripherals and coolers, in order to focus more closely on memory products, solid state drives and power supplies. Now, it appears that the fruits of this decision are already starting to show, as the company has unleashed a new member in the Fatal1ty series. With a power output of 750W, it is designed as a “high-performance PSU targeted at gamers and enthusiasts that prefer modular cabling.”

The new device, co-developed with Johnathan “Fatal1ty” Wendel, is created based on a low profile modular cabling design, which confers airflow and control efficiency.

To be more specific, it employs unique, user-friendly connectors that bring greater flexibility and organization inside the PC case. Additionally, the high-performance PSU features a 135mm dual ball bearing fan with a LED light meant to add style.

For those interested in the exact performance details, the 750W Fatal1ty is compliant with ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V specifications, is 80Plus bronze certified (85% efficient), is SLI-ready and has an MTBF (mean time before failure) of 100,000 hours. It is intended for hours of non-stop gaming and can function safely at temperatures of up to 45 degrees Celsius.

“Working with Fatal1ty to build the ultimate PSU for a high-performance gaming environment was a great experience,” commented Ryan Edwards, director of product management at OCZ Technology. “Jonathan and OCZ share a common commitment to performance and reliability aimed at supporting the user in even the most intense competitive gaming and enthusiast environments. With the new Fatal1ty 750, gamers and power users alike can be confident their system is fueled by a top-notch PSU with the latest in technology and design.”

The press release doesn't mention pricing, but the product is backed by a 5-year warranty and can be seen in detail here.
