OCZ Technology Group, Inc. unveiled today the OCZ Gladiator and Gladiator Max, its latest CPU cooler family, developed to offer supreme thermal management and efficiency. The new cooler series combines a heat-pipe direct touch (HDT) design, a distinctive stacked fin array, and a large low-noise fan. The company, an industry leader in innovative, ultra-high performance and reliability memory and computer devices, built the Gladiator series to fit the cooling requirements of today's most powerful processors to ensure the best functioning of users' systems.

“The new Gladiator coolers take the HDT design from the popular Vendetta series to the next level, with the addition of the latest pillar design to transfer heat even more efficiently up and away from your processor,” said Ryan Edwards, Director of Product Management of the OCZ Technology Group. “With the Gladiator series we are able to offer customers sophisticated coolers for the complete spectrum of applications ranging from mainstream gaming to enthusiast overclocking.”

Using the latest HDT design, the Gladiator devices feature direct contact with the processor through four copper heat pipes which ensure the fastest heat transfer. The surface area is maximized due to a unique “folded” fin configuration, yet the form factor remains compact. The coolers aim at all levels of enthusiasts, offering both a small 92mm fan size for the Gladiator, which is fit for those that lack space, and a larger 120mm fan with Gladiator Max, needed for ultimate performance.

The new Gladiator series is said to be able to face any challenge in the overclocking field through an aggressive dissipation of heat produced by high-performance processors. The large fan is mounted with anti-vibration rubber connectors, this way reducing the noise produced, allowing the cooler to run quietly and making it fit for media center or office desktops which require silence on the first place. The new series is compatible with Intel's 775 socket CPUs and AMD's AM2/939/754/755 processors, and features an easy installation process which can be accomplished by end-users at any skill level. The price tag of the Gladiator coolers can compete even with expensive ones.

The OCZ Gladiators may prove to be an excellent choice for enthusiasts, as they are able to provide efficiency, acoustics, power, as well as affordability. More information on Gladiator CPU Cooler and Gladiator Max CPU Cooler can be found on OCZ's site.
