"In the memory" of digital cameras, cellphones, DAPs and notebooks

California based OCZ Technology Group releases the most innovative Secure Digital memory solution. It's a unique combo, which I'm (not) sure you're not familiar with. This device can be used with three different kinds of connections. You can use it as an SD card for your digital camera and card reader,as Mircro SD card with portable audio players and newer cellphones and it can aslo be plugged into any USB port.

Here's the trick. The SD carries the micro SD card on the side. It may look like symbiosis but it's not. Both cards belong to the same species. I don't know why the name Trifecta reminds me of some kind of deep sea bacteria. There's more. Whenever you need to transfer data to a computer, just remove the bottom part of the OCZ Trifecta to reveal a USB connector and "sail" it into any USB port for quick access on your desktop or notebook. With this tiny thing in your pocket, sharing files between your mobile phone, MP3 player, digital camera and PC should be an easy process.

"Today's latest generation of cell phones possess superior multimedia features including integrated cameras and the ability to play MP3s," said Alex Mei, VP of Marketing, OCZ Technology Group. "With more and more mobile phones and consumer devices making use of microSD, the Trifecta's unique 3-in-1 design allows consumers to take full advantage of their handset's features, as well as give them the flexibility to use microSD in their other devices, and the freedom to access their data without the use of a reader."

You can choose from 1GB and 2 GB memory cards capacities. Each card comes with a read speed of 10 MB/s (66x based on the CD ROM SCALE). The device comes with a 5-year warranty. It might be useful if you use micro SD cards but don't have a card reader yet. There's no info on the price yet.
