OCZ announced a new mainstream memory kit. The new PC2-6400 modules feature the OCZ's proprietary FlexXLC (Xtreme Liquid Convention) heat sink technology that delivers superior heat dissipation with the aid of a hybrid copper and aluminum design that combines passive air and water cooling techniques. Featuring this hybrid liquid injection system, the FlexXLC modules were engineered with a unique "flexible" design in mind in order to give enthusiasts the unparalleled option to run the modules passively or water cooled. The concurrent use of both technologies promotes maximum heat dissipation and pushes thermal management of memory modules one step further to keep up with the ever-increasing frequency demands. Thus, FlexXLC modules seamlessly co-migrate towards the present-day trend of liquid cooling integration.

OCZ claims that the PC2-6400 FlexXLC modules are optimized for the latest cutting edge platforms and will be available in 2GB (2x1024MB) dual channel kits. These modules are part of OCZ's line-up of premium memory products and they are backed by a Lifetime Warranty and industry-leading technical support. Boosting performance to extremely high speeds, tight timings, and leading-edge heat dissipation, the unparalleled design of the OCZ PC2-6400 Flex XLC is a complete and all-encompassing solution that will be appreciated by hardcore enthusiasts.

In addition, OCZ's EVP (Extended Voltage Protection) is a feature that allows performance enthusiasts to use a VDIMM of 2.2V ? 5% without invalidating their OCZ Lifetime Warranty.

The official features are as follows:

- 800MHz DDR2 - CL 4-4-4-15 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS) - Available in 2GB (2x1024) Dual Channel Kits - Unbuffered -OCZ Lifetime Warranty - 2.0 Volts - 240 Pin DIMM - 2 x 1/4" ID (inner diameter) barbs

OCZ also announced that it will soon launch a 1KW power supply unit. The ProXStrem PSU model delivers 70 ampers for the included 4 12V rails and is ready to power the ultimate gaming rigs.
