O2 has recently announced the release of a limited edition 3G mobile phone, the O2 Ice Black. Yes, this is yet another repainted version of a mobile phone that's been available on the market for quite some time.

And since summer is almost here, all the more reason to go get yourself a brand new O2 Ice Black, since the original version is already too boring for the hip, fashion conscious people out there.

Apparently, O2 has launched the new version of the phone with 'super-sleek good looks and slim candy bar design' in order to target customers that want a feature rich device, wrapped in a sophisticated design. Of course, features as well as design are exactly the same as in the case of the original, the only difference being the handset's color.

The Ice Black still packs an MP3 player, 1.3 megapixel camera with zoom, Bluetooth for connectivity, 3G capabilities, video playback and recording, 65k color screen and 32MB internal memory expandable via MicroSD card slot. So its user will be able to do pretty much anything, from listening to music to taking snapshots, browsing the web or keeping in touch with loved ones.

Storage space for files won't be an issue either, because if the internal memory is not enough, it can, at any time, be expanded with a memory card. Other more basic features include a voice recorder, calculator, unit converter, stop watch and web browser. Design-wise the Ice Black is clean cut and simple, looking somewhat like a TV's remote control.

With such a design, users will either love it or hate it. Measuring 117 mm x 49 mm x 14 mm and weighing 92 grams, it won't be inconvenient to carry around. O2's Ice Black handset is available exclusively through the mobile operator's stores and has a price tag of ?59.99 on prepay.
