A new Nvidia card is supposed to be launched shortly. It is called the 7900 GTO and will be based on the G71 chip, showed The Inquirer. This was done seemingly because NVidia has good yields on that semiconductor. The 7900 GTO won't be an OEM/ODM card only - it will be sold through retail as well.

MSI already lists this card on pre-orders. The card will be known by the stunningly name, MSI NX7900GTO T2D 512MB, equipped, obviously, with 512MB of memory. It uses DDR3 memory clocked at 1220MHz and the core works at 650 MHz. The core is clocked at the same speed as the 7900 GTX core. The only difference between the cards is the memory speed, as GTO has memory that works with 380MHz slower but for a twice diminished amount of money.

MSI fitted the card with 24 pipelines and it seems it will end up faster than the 7900 GT. This is the full name of the card with the ordering number MSI NX7900GTO-T2D512E, Geforce 7900 GTO, 512MB GDDR3, 2x DVI, TV-out, PCIe (V801-089/V801-110). The price starts at 230 ?.
