A new logo & a new manufacturing process

After the rumors regarding Nvidia's change of logo, the manufacturer officially announced it will launch a new graphics core in September - the G73-B1, which is the first 80nm (nanometer) product set to destroy ATI's upcoming Radeon X1650 series, informs Daily Tech.

The manufacturer added that there will be two models of the G73-B1. The first one will be "a standard die shrink of the G73 core" supporting the already available PCBs.

The second, on the other hand, is codenamed G73-H-B1 and will be an OEM only product, coming with some more multimedia capabilities. "The G73-H-B1 integrates native support for HDMI and HDCP for a lower cost single chip solution instead of having a separate Silicon Image HDMI chip. It doesn't appear NVIDIA has any intentions of releasing retail G73-H-B1 cards yet," further writes Daily Tech.

Looks like Nvidia is in the middle of 'a transformation process' which, according to some undisclosed sources, will regard only the logo and not 'the company's insides'.

"The new logotype emphasizes Nvidia's recommendations to write its name in capital letters, whereas the old logotype had the first letter in italic. Also, the new one has a little bit more modern look and should also point out the strength of the company, as the font used on it is much "stronger" than the one on the old logo," reported X-bit Labs. Not only has the logo changed, but also the corporate trademarks layout. Unfortunately, no official confirmation has been made up until now and no showcase of the new logo.
