This is the working principle behind PETA's latest environmental campaign

Not willing to give up on the idea that, sooner or later, people will agree that vegetarianism is the way to go if human society is to both show animals the respect they deserve, and help protect the environment, PETA decided to launch yet another green-oriented campaign.

This time, the organization saw fit to send some of its girls to shower in the nude on a sidewalk in Reno, supposedly to help raise awareness with respect to how the recent US drought has affected the country's agricultural industry.

These girls wish to emphasize that all American citizens need to do their best to conserve national water resources, and becoming a vegetarian is one of the things at the top of the list.

In all fairness, there is some truth in the message they are trying to get across to the general public, yet we highly doubt that the mere sight of these ladies will cause people to immediately change their dietary habits.

Just for the record, these naked girls will hide behind a banner reading “Clean Your Conscience: Go Vegan! 1 lb. of Meat Equals 6 Months of Showers,” so public opinion will not be offended.

Also, the picture used as head for this blog was taken during another similar project, as images from Reno have yet to be made available to the general public.
