Google's blogging service Blogger was updated with a new feature that allows you to upload your personal clips straight on your blog without having to publish them on YouTube or any other video sharing platform and embed them into your articles. Using this feature, any blog owner is able to upload a certain clip from his computer and publish it on the website in a matter of minutes. Of course, it depends on the size of the movie as well as the quality of your Internet connection. The feature was first introduced a long time ago when it was a part of Blogger in Draft, a testing platform that tries the new features before they are released in their final version.

If you want to use the new video upload function, you must login into your Blogger account, click on 'New Post' and you should be able to see a new button placed between 'Add Image' and 'Remove formatting from selection'.

"Today we are releasing video uploading to Blogger! This feature allows you to upload videos and create a video podcast with the same ease that we currently provide with photo uploading. When you go to the Blogger post editor, you'll see a new button () next to the image uploading one. Just select a video from your computer, wait a few minutes for the upload and processing to occur, and voila!" the Blogger team proudly announced today the new feature.

If you didn't know, the clips uploaded by you using the new feature added to Blogger are actually hosted by Google Video, the online video sharing platform powered by the Mountain View company. Obviously, the videos are kept private so there is no reason to get worried that your clips might become searchable over the Internet. Also, if you experience problems with the new Blogger button, you should try posting messaging using Firefox or Internet Explorer.
