When you say smartwatch, your brain naturally thinks of an image of a device with a tiny screen.

That’s why most of us don’t really deem the smartwatch as the perfect tool for gaming or web browsing, but guess what, some developers don’t really share your views.

A few days ago, I told you about the first game created especially for Android Wear. But what if you quickly want to surf a bunch of webpages from your wrist? Developer appfour has that covered, as well.

Now you can go on the Internet from your wrist via the Wear Internet Browser app, which connects to your smartphone via a companion app.

And if you find something you like, you can even bookmark it or add it to favorites. You’ll be able to surf through the information on the page via swiping and you can even pinch to zoom, if you have elongated fingers, that is.

You might wonder how you will get Internet access to your wrist. Well, you’ll need to stay connected to your phone via Bluetooth. Note you’ll also need Android 4.0 or later for the companion app to play nice with your phone.

I’m not sure how many people will get excited because of this piece of news, especially since you can easily take the smartphone out of your pocket if you’re in a real need to look for something online.

But I guess that, if you want to play cool with your Robocop smartwatch, you’ll need to show the world that you can surf the web from your wrist. Download the app via the Google Play store.
