You will get to attend 3-hour classes on the subject

3D printing technology is spreading fast, faster than people can adapt to and learn it independently, which is why from this month forward you'll be able to attend post-graduate classes at NovaCopy.

If you haven't heard about NovaCopy until now, the company is a 3D printing, photocopying and document technology developer based in Nashville, Tennessee.

Since people's lack of knowledge in 3D printing causes them to shy away from buying such things, the outfit figured it would raise its chances of selling such products by helping them fill that gap in knowledge.

Sure, people can buy other printers, and either way, call less on its own 3D printing services, but that's a small enough sacrifice considering that the new classes don't come for free.

The NovaCopy 3D University

Don't let the name fool you, NovaCopy isn't actually opening a university centered on 3D printing. As cool as the technology is, it isn't complex or wide-reaching enough to demand a campus all by itself.

Instead, NovaCopy 3D University is a course which you can attend for the price of $299, which is around €236 according to exchange rates.

The course is meant for people who haven't learned anything about 3D printing in school or college, and don't want to put countless hours into figuring things out through trial and error.

After all, it would be a shame to remain blind to the possibilities of this technology, or set of technologies, when they're supposed to allow you to produce anything.

3DU (that's the short name of the course) will open on October 22, 2014, which is just one week from now. The class will take 3 hours.

You might think that $299 / €236 is a bit much, and you might be right, but it's still a lower price than for many other private teaching offers. Besides, it's less than most 3D printers you'll find on the market. At least the 3D printers that are sophisticated and versatile enough to let you put the new knowledge to good and full use anyway.

Other teaching offers you might want

Some are offered by NovaCopy, like basic training in software use, as well as PowerPoint Seminars accessible from home or the office. 3DU is more hands-on though.

If you want to turn 3D printing tech into a career, though, the 3D Printing Certification Courses from Texas University might be an even better idea in the long run.
