Michael Jackson was in a very troubled state of mind the days before his sudden death, as a series of notes he scrambled and then stuck on his bathroom mirror reveal. Some of them are inspirational messages meant to give him some sort of confidence before the grand comeback at London’s O2 Arena, while others are simply reminders that show just how dazed he was almost at all times from the drugs, News of the World says.

The British tabloid claims to have firsthand knowledge of these messages that Michael had posted on the mirror, as well as of the fact that they show he was very depressed and confused by the drugs in the days leading up to his death. The singer, it seems, was feeling at a complete loss when thinking of the 50 dates he was supposed to perform at the Arena because he thought he could not make it for that long – in fact, sources close to the Jackson clan tell the tab that Michael was certain he would not last for all 50 shows and was scared at the prospect.

“The News of the World has uncovered a series of ‘wishes for the world’ which were left on the mirror in the tragic star's cluttered bathroom. On post-its notes and sheets of paper, they were scribbled as the doomed 50-year-old star tried to focus his mind on the daunting London tour dates ahead through a drug-induced haze. In one the dazed singer even had to remind himself to include one of his biggest hits in the concerts. Friends believe he was using the messages to gee himself up for rehearsals in the week of his death.” News of the World writes.

“These notes show that Michael was positive until the last – but also what a mess his mind must have been as he fought to keep it all together towards the end.” an insider says for the tab of the notes whose existence has just now been made public. “I am so grateful that I am a magnet for miracles.” one note read, while another expressed one of Michael’s most fervent wishes, for world peace. “Love, no violence ever!” it read; Michael then added underneath it, “Remember a beautiful future promise of tomorrow.”

Strangely enough, other notes were actually reminders of things he had to do, News of the World says. “Do ‘We Are The World’ in show.” one of them said, reminding Michael Jackson to include “We Are the World” in his “This Is It” shows, for which he was rehearsing at the time of his death.
