iDraft is a simple notebook for iPad that allows users to draw a picture, or make a record of something quickly, and efficiently. The software distinguishes itself through a very intuitive interface that combines both drawing and writing features for maximum flexibility when putting thoughts on "paper". Wondershare Software, the app’s makers, now announced plans to prolong the free duration of iDraft.

According to the developer, iDraft drew a lot of iPad users and once ranked as the number one app for its entire category on Apple's App Store. The company responded to users' appeal, and decided to offer the app for free for an extended period of time, although it failed to specify the exact duration of the promo.

“Wondershare iDraft, a free application released on June 22nd, 2010, is specially designed for iPad users,” reads an official report issued today. “It enables users to use as a Notepad or painting book and do whatever they like with their fingers on the iPad screen,” the report explains.

"Almost everyone demands it," said Conan Zhang, Vice President at Mobile App Department of Wondershare, "since it offers users a user-friendly interface and smooth experience. For example, the faster you draw, the thinner the line becomes."  He is quite confident of the app. "We look into the great potential of mobile app market, thus we decide to invest more in the future."

By its fifth day in the wild, Wondershare iDraft had recorded close to 30,000 downloads, Wondershare reveals, even surpassing Apple’s iBooks.

iDraft key features are listed as follows:

- Select a cover image from your library to create a new note with an infinite number of pages; - Name, edit or delete for each note; - Preview entire notebook by moving the scroll bar and quickly find the exact page; - Undo and redo on each page, along with a standard eraser tool; - Pick color for line and change line width; - Save single pages as a PNG format to your photo library; - Email single pages or entire notebooks to your friends; - PDF is supported for full notebooks.
