Square Enix has announced that the Founders Packs for their upcoming free-to-play PvP centric action game Nosgoth will go live today, March 25.

In order to prepare for the arrival of the Founder Packs, developer Psyonix has scheduled some maintenance downtime for the Nosgoth servers, and players currently involved in the game's closed beta should bear in mind that the game will not be available for a period of 6 hours.

The servers will go into maintenance time on March 25, during the following interval:

Start: 3am PDT / 5am CDT / 6am EDT / 10am GMT / 11am CET End: 9am PDT / 11am CDT / 12pm EDT / 4pm GMT / 5pm CET

All this time, the game will be unavailable for play sessions, and the Founders Packs will go alive at the same time that regular service will be resumed.

There are currently six Founders Packs available for the game's supporters or for those who want to get into the closed beta but haven't yet received a beta key from Square Enix, ranging in price from $20 / €15 to the premium packs, which can go up to $150 / €110 each.

The Founders Packs offer early access to Nosgoth and other perks, such as a number of invites for friends, badges, Rune Stones (in-game currency), War Chests, XP and Gold boosts, exclusive skins and weapons, and many others.

Badges are visual representations of particular activities such as ownership of a Founders Pack or participation in the Closed Alpha and others, and will be displayed in pre-match lobbies as well as elsewhere, and players will be able to choose which one they want to display.

War chests contain rare and distinctive items which are not available for purchase in the in-game store, and invites will allow whoever receives one to immediately join the Nosgoth closed beta (without the perks of the Founders Pack owner, of course).

Players interested in seeing what each pack contains can take a look at the three regular packs and the three premium packs, which Square Enix has made public on the Nosgoth blog.

However, bear in mind that once Nosgoth reaches the Open Beta phase, the game will be entirely free to play and everyone will be able to simply download and enjoy Nosgoth immediately without having to pay anything, and the Founders Packs will not be necessary for early access anymore, but players will keep all their content.
