14 DAY TRIAL // Publisher Square Enix and developer Psyonix announce the release of a brand new Vampire class, the Summoner of Clan Melchahim, for the multiplayer brawling game Nosgoth.
Nosgoth entered open beta at the end of January, and since then the game managed to surpass the one million downloads mark. The developers wanted to celebrate the milestone with an exciting update, adding a brand new character class for players to pilot in arenas.
Gamers will be able to unlock and play as the Summoner, an interesting new class with some neat abilities, which the team detailed on the Nosgoth blog.
Abyssal Bolt conjures and throws a sphere of dark magic that damages nearby enemies over time and explodes after a few seconds. Hell Strike targets an area with streams of energy that explode on impact, but her most powerful skills involve summoning allies to the battlefield.

Skills of the trade
Her primary ability enables her to summon creatures from beyond, with Summon Stalkers creating two Lesser Ghouls that target nearby enemies, while Summon Slayer only creates a single Greater Ghoul, that is able to hunt a specific target.
Her secondary ability, Abyssal Barrier, conjures a wall of dark magic that repels projectiles and protects allies from harm.
The Summoner also comes with an unlockable alternate execution, titled Blood Rain, where she levitates her victim and drains the very blood from their veins.
Psyonix is also making several skins available for those who wish to pay the shop a little visit, and you can see the different variations in the gallery below. The developers have also created a single bundle for players interested in getting all the Summoner-related content in one package.
