Representatives of North Korea’s Foreign Ministry announced in a statement that the country is ready to launch a preemptive nuclear attack against the United States.

According to the Associated Press, the threats come in response to the United Nations sanctions against North Korea. The UN Security Council is deciding whether or not to impose new sanctions for the recent nuclear tests carried out by Pyongyang.

North Korea is also displeased with the fact that the United States and South Korea are planning war drills.

Pyongyang urges the UN Security Council not to repeat mistakes from the past.

Some believe North Korea doesn’t have the capability to launch a missile that would reach the US. On the other hand, the country does reportedly have enough fuel for several crude nuclear devices.
