Nokia might be finally set to bring to the market its first smartphone to run under the new MeeGo mobile operating system, as a series of rumored specs for this device have just emerged into the wild.

Apparently, a MeeGo bug report includes some info on what the smartphone would include when made available for purchase, and things are more than promising, especially since there are some suggesting that the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in a few weeks would mark its official debut.

For example, there is a great chance that the phone would land on shelves with a 1.6GHz Intel processor inside, while boasting a 854 x 480 pixel display.

Moreover, the new device would also include support for 21Mbps HSPA+ speeds, as well as NFC (Near Field Communication) capabilities.

But this is not all, apparently, and the unannounced device is shaping up pretty nicely, a recent article on SlashGear notes.

Nokia is rumored to have packed the handset with 1GB of RAM inside, as well as with a 200MHz GPU with 512MB of dedicated memory, in addition to a HDMI slot.

The upcoming mobile phone should also include an Infineon XMM 6260 3G modem (with support for 21Mbps HSPA+), along with a TI WiLink 6.0 WL1271 chip to cover both WiFi b/g/n and Bluetooth.

Other specs of the said device would also include a Broadcom BCM4751 GPS chip, a NPX Semiconductor PN544 NFC chip and a digital compass, as well as a Toshiba I/O controller for the physical controls.

Apparently, this Nokia handset would also include support for USB keyboard and mouse, which might suggest a different kind of device, though nothing was confirmed on it for the time being.

Specific info on whether it would include touchscreen capabilities or not lack for the time being, and details on a possible physical QWERTY are missing as well.

Nokia and Intel are working on making MeeGo available for a wider range of devices than just smartphones, and we would not be surprised whether this would actually turn out to be a netbook.

However, since nothing was officially announced on the matter, we'll have to wait to learn what would Nokia plan on launching with MeeGo on board, and whether the first devices powered by the new OS would indeed see the light of day at the upcoming MWC 2011 show or not.
