One of the latest rumored mobile phones that Finnish handset vendor Nokia was expected to bring to the United States market in the near future was the Nokia X7, supposedly an AT&T-bound device, but it seems that all plans for launching it this way might have been canceled.

New reports suggest that AT&T might never release this mobile phone on its airwaves, even if the device was spotted before with the carrier's logo on the front.

A recent article on Pocketnow notes that AT&T has indeed decided to scrap any plans regarding the upcoming availability of Nokia X7.

Reportedly, the carrier and Nokia already made the first steps towards having the device included in the carrier's offering, and even set the launch date for February 12th, just before the Mobile World Congress.

Moreover, the news site notes that manufacturers even started to come up with accessories for the device, which was meant to be released in the US as the Nokia Journey.

Apparently, AT&T was the one to cancel plans of releasing the new smartphone, which means that the device might still land ons helves in other countries around the world.

Unfortunately, no specific info on what determined the wireless carrier to act this way emerged for the time being, but things are not looking great for Nokia and the US market, that's for sure, at least not when AT&T is involved.

The operator does not plan to launch a new Nokia handset for a long time, sources familiar with its plans reportedly confirmed.

Specific details on what would Nokia plan with the X7 in other markets did not emerge either, though it might not be too long before such info is made available, provided that the company would indeed aim for a February launch.

At the same time, we should note that this might not be the only new mobile phone that Nokia would plan for the US market, as the handset vendor reportedly trademarked various other names, in addition to Journey, including Allure, Temptation, Preview, Relate, and Stimulus.
