Finnish mobile phone maker Nokia has been long rumored to plan the launch of an Android-based smartphone, one that would be aimed at the very low end of the market, and some more info on the device is now available.

The handset, which leaked online under the codename of Nokia Normandy but is expected to arrive on shelves as Nokia X, has allegedly made an appearance in AnTuTu, where it managed to score 7410 points.

A screenshot coming from the aforementioned benchmarking application has emerged online as well, courtesy of gadgetstouse.com, yet there’s no confirmation on whether it is the real thing or not.

Said screenshot also confirms the fact that Nokia is planning on launching the phone with dual-SIM capabilities packed inside, something that has been long rumored.

The 7410 score that the device achieved in the benchmark might seem fairly unimpressive, yet it is in line with what a dual-core smartphone would reach.

For those out of the loop, we should note that Nokia X is expected to sport a 4-inch WVGA screen, a 1GHz dual-core processor, and only 512MB of RAM inside.

Moreover, the phone is said to pack 4GB of internal memory, microSD memory card slot, a 5-megapixel camera on the back, and a 1500mAh battery inside.

A recent tweet from @evleaks also claims that Nokia will launch it in six color versions, with its own Nokia Store loaded on top, but with access to third-party portals as well.

The one thing that has yet to be unveiled is the actual version of Android that will be loaded on top of the handset, though Android 4.4 KitKat was mentioned a few times before.

Some of the latest reports on the device suggest that Nokia still plans on loading Google’s services on this device, though this seems very unlikely, considering the fact that Microsoft is currently buying its Devices & Services business.

In the end, we might see Nokia X made official with a bunch of Microsoft services loaded on top, as well as with complementary apps and services from Nokia, such as HERE Maps and the like.

However, the actual existence of Nokia X is currently under question, as no official confirmation on it has been provided as of now. Rumor has it that it will be formally introduced next month at MWC 2014, so stay tuned for the info.
