The two brother companies, Nokia Siemens and Nokia have just reinforced their commitment to developing solutions for their services in the African region. This is meant to make sure that communication services break through both urban and rural areas in order to reach as many people as possible in this country.

European Commissioner for Development and Humanitarian Aid struggles to make the vital dialogue between businessmen and governments as efficient as possible. As part of this line, Nokia has presented a data survey which shows the current state of people from African countries when it comes to health and social life. This has high potential of enabling the government and aid agencies to offer the appropriate help to those who need it most.

"Telecommunications infrastructure plays a crucial role in the overall economic development of nations. Further developing telecommunications systems not only helps grow businesses, but also has great potential to help improve basic life needs such as health care and education. It can also ease access to banking services including micro-payments, and makes access to information easier, thus enabling people to take part in decision-making and development of the communities", said Antti R?ikk?nen, Head of Strategy, Southern Africa, Nokia Siemens Networks.

Nokia Siemens sees the future of telecommunications as highly related to social life. They expect that, by 2015, 5 billion more people will be connected by wire and wirelessly from any place on the planet. Moreover, they think that most of these people will come from Asia and Africa, which makes these two continents look like an excellent market for expansion. This is why they wish to be the first to bring mobile Internet and advanced communication solutions to these regions.

Nokia and Nokia Siemens declare themselves to be committed to providing communication technology solutions to all countries that need them around the world.
