Nokia has announced on its Official Nokia Blog that it is offering for free the latest game developed by Infinite Dreams, Big Roll in Paradise. The game itself is based around a ball game called bocce. For those that aren't so familiar with the title, bocce is a ball game in the same family as boules and lawn bowls, where the players have to gets their balls closest to the jack by rolling or throwing them across the playfield.

Big Roll in Paradise lets players compete against assorted opponents as you take part in various championships across the Bahamas. There are also a few mini-games built in the main game involving puzzles, fruit machines, casino games or even a sub-plot involving a hidden treasure.

Before starting to play, gamers will be able to set the direction, force and elevation of their throw, which seems to be pretty accurate thanks to the excellent physics engine. The game features different playing surfaces, such as asphalt or sand that require different tactics to win.

Initially announced as an N-Gage title, the game has been distributed through Ovi Store, since the N-Gage service was closed. This will probably widen the distribution area of the game and rise its recognition.

The title is available for free until Friday, from the Ovi Store. After the promotion period is over, Big Roll in Paradise will cost 2 Euros. The game requires about 21 MB of internal memory and is fully compatible with most Nokia S60 5th Edition devices such as, Nokia 5230, Nokia 5233, Nokia N97, Nokia N97 mini and the Nokia X6. At the end of the announcement, the phone maker seems to be promising more free titles in the coming weeks, so stay tuned.
