Nokia has finally presented, just a few hours ago, its two new Nseries smartphones: the N85 and N79. You might have already known that the N85 is a slider while the N79 is a candybar, but now we have all the details about the handsets as well as official pictures with them.

Both the new Nseries devices are packing lots of high-end features, but the N85 will probably lure the highest number of mobile users.

The only thing that can be seen as a drawback when it comes to the N85 is its look, which highly resembles the one of N81 and N96. Sure, the handset's design is far from being a "bad one", but consumers might have expected a bit more from Nokia. And by more I mean something really new, not a design that can only make you say "oh, I've seen this before."

Anyway, looks aside, the N85 is undoubtedly worthy of the Nseries brand. The new smartphone comes with a wide range of entertainment-related capabilities, including a 5 Megapixel camera that brings Carl Zeiss optics, Tessar lens, auto focus, dual LED flash, geotagging, 20x digital zoom and VGA video recording.

Furthermore, the N85 features a 2.6 inch TFT display with 16.7 million colors, 320 x 240 pixels, brightness control and ambient light detector, accelerometer for automatic image rotation, secondary camera for video calls, Wi-Fi, GPS, A-GPS, Nokia Maps, Adobe Flash Lite 3.0, Nokia Web browser, Adobe Reader, Nokia Nseries music player (supporting MP3, AAC, eAAC, eAAC+ and WMA), 3D stereo speakers, dedicated music keys, a 3.5 mm headset jack, UPnP music streaming, FM radio with RDS, FM transmitter, N-gage gaming controls, digital stereo microphone, text-to-speech and Symbian 9.3 S60 3rd Edition (with Feature Pack 2).

The N85 has only 74MB of internal memory, but an 8GB microSD card is included in the package ? enough for about anything you might want to store on the phone.

Nokia has embedded into the N85 more than 10 N-Gage free-to-try games: Asphalt 3, Hooked On: Creatures of the Deep, Bounce, Reset Generation, FIFA 08, Worlds Series of Poker, Midnight Pool, Tetris, Snakes Subsonic, Space Impact, System Rush, Sims 2: Pets, Brain Challenge, Mile High Pinball and Block Breaker Deluxe. One of them, at user's choice, can be kept for free, while any of the others must be acquired from the N-Gage website in order to be played in full-version.

The new Nseries weighs 128 grams and, when closed, it measures 103 x 50x 16 millimeters. Its battery is a 1200 mAh Li-Ion one that should be able to offer:

? up to 6.9 hours of GSM talk-time / 4.5 hours of 3G talk-time;

? up to 363 hours of talk-time (either on 2G or on 3G networks);

? up to 30 hours of music playback;

? up to 7 hours of gameplay;

? up to 172 hours of Wi-Fi usage;

? or up to 6 hours of VoIP usage.

"The Nokia N85 was created to be more than the sum of its parts, offering a complete mobile entertainment package designed for connecting, sharing and discovering. The iconic Nokia Nseries dual slider design has evolved to become smaller and sleeker while integrating the newest features and services to deliver the best mobile experience to date," states Juha-Pekka Sipponen, director, Nokia Nseries.

According to the Finnish company, the N85 will be commercially available starting October, for a retail price of around 450 Euros (660 USD).
