Wireless carrier Three UK has just announced the availability of a new mobile phone on its airwaves, the high-end Symbian^3-based Nokia N8. Following the recent launch of HTC Desire HD with the carrier, the new device expands even more the series of high-end smartphones Three customers can enjoy.

“The Nokia N8 comes with the new Symbian^3 Operating System, which brings three fully customizable home screens to life using widgets,” the wireless carrier notes on its website.

Of course, the new device comes with even more appealing features, as well as with great hardware, capable of offering a great experience to all users out there.

One of these appealing features is the 12-megapixel photo snapper Nokia packed the device with, which also includes Carl Zeiss lens, Xenon flash, auto focus and HD video recording capabilities.

Moreover, the new device sports a large 3.5” capacitive touchscreen display, and 16GB of internal memory, complemented by a microSD memory card slot with support for up to 32GB of additional storage space.

Sylvia Chind, Head of Branded Devices at Three said, “It’s important for us to offer all the best smartphones with a range of operating systems to our customers.

“The new features of Symbian^3, particularly how it makes the most of widgets, means a strong 3G network is needed to support all the live streams of data they use. With 97% of traffic on our network coming from data, our network is built for data use.”

The new Nokia N8 hits the shelves at Three UK for free on £35 per month on the carrier's The One Plan.

Three customers who will purchase the device on this plan would also receive 2000 any network minutes, 5000 Three-to-Three minutes, 5000 texts and 1GB data.

The Nokia N8 is also available at the wireless carrier on a Pay As You Go basis, featuring a price tag of £469.99 attached to it.
