Leaked Photos

Since Nokia N75's FCC approval back in the beginning of November 2006, we have been hearing lots of rumors telling us of an "imminent" launch. As some of them told us, the handset was set to be launched on the network of the Cingular mobile operator but - due to unknown reasons - this hasn't happened yet.

Although the device hasn't been officially announced by any of the American carriers I know of, I did find a couple of leaked photos of the N75 wearing a nice Cingular logo under its external display.

Those photos almost take the place of the official announcement Cingular will probably make in a very short time (as the rumor sources tell me it will happen sometime during this month).

The Nokia N75 is a handset that stayed for a long time on many Cingular customers' wishlists, featuring support for Cingular's Musis and Video in-house services, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity and eGPRS data transfer technology that can reach speeds of up to approximately 180 kbits/s.

Its spec sheet also mentions 3G WCDMA, EDGE and GSM capabilities working in a team with the N75's four radios (850, 900, 1800 and 1900 MHz), Mass Storage Pop-Port interface through USB 2.0, a microSD memory expansion card slot that can go up to 2 GB, a storage space ready to be filled up with almost 1500 songs, an FM stereo receiver, 3D stereo speakers, a 2 megapixel digital camera with CMOS sensor, 16 x digital zoom and a high tech LED flash ready to help the phone's user to take photos in environments with not enough natural light.

Despite the fact that we know which carrier is going to launch it, one thing hasn't changed since the last time I wrote about the N75: the release date is still unknown and the store price is yet to be found out.
