Nokia announced a few hours ago the launch of its Swedish Music Store, the latest from the company's portfolio of online music portals. This is the tenth Music Store released by Nokia globally, coming after the ones from Finland, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Ireland, Australia and Singapore.

As all the other Music Stores launched until now, the new one features millions of songs, bringing users from across Sweden the chance to listen and/or download all their favorite music. The store's visitors will be able to choose from a wide range of artists, from major labels as well as from independent ones.

The Swedish Nokia Music Store can be accessed (at this address) either from a desktop or from high-end Nokia handsets like Nokia N81, Nokia N82 or the Nseries flagship Nokia N95 8GB. Visitors can browse, search, stream or download music with ease, thanks to the user-friendly interface of the Store.

For downloading a single track, music lovers will have to pay 10 SEK (the equivalent of 1 Euro), while for entire albums the prices start at 100 SEK (10 Euros). Moreover, users can opt for 100 SEK monthly subscriptions in order to stream music on their PCs. Any track or album can be bought either by credit card or with pre-paid vouchers.

Christophe Joyau, head of services, Nokia Scandinavia, said in a press release made public today: "The Nokia Music Store offers great usability along with a huge selection of music from both renowned international artists and popular Swedish artists. By having an integrated mobile and PC download service, the Nokia Music Store is a fantastic way to build a music collection that is truly mobile."

With a mobile penetration rate of about 112% and more than 10 million mobile users, Sweden is one of the most mature mobile markets in Europe, hence Nokia's new Music Store will most probably be a success.
